How Pricing Van Lines Handles Residential Moving
Your residential move deserves plenty of TLC and clear communication. When Pricing Van Lines shows up to help you move house, we pack plenty of both. We’ll also make sure you get to your new place on time, and we’ll help you get situated with minimal fuss.
It all starts with our easy booking. We’ll provide a personalized moving quote, based on the specifics of your relocation and the extra services you may need on the big day. We’ll send the best team for the job, and they’ll take care of the rest.
Our residential movers are trained and experienced, and they know how to load, haul, and transport with care. They’ll show up on time on moving day (or even before, if you need extra help packing). Then, they’ll carefully load every item, and use the most efficient route to transport everything to your destination.
It’s residential moving at its finest, and it won’t break the bank, either. Book with Pricing Van Lines, and we’ll help you move house.
Our Residential Moving Services
Every home is different, so the team at Pricing Van Lines can set you up with a completely custom relocation. Check out how we can personalize your move:
Local Moving
You’re moving across town, or you’re moving to the next county over. Whatever the specifics, you need a team that can handle your stuff with care, and a team that really knows your city. And if they’re inexpensive? Even better. That’s where Pricing Van Lines comes in.
At Pricing Van Lines, we deliver the same care and attention to detail as those big brand movers, but without charging you those big brand prices. Our local movers know their way around town – including all those sneaky side-streets you can use to avoid traffic. It’s all part of delivering quality local moving that’s easy on your budget.
Long-Distance Moving
Need some support for the long haul? Pricing Van Lines has you covered. Anything over 100 miles or across state lines counts as a long distance move, and if you need cheap long distance movers that don’t cut corners on quality, Pricing Van Lines is here to save your wallet.
Our interstate moving teams know how to make your move a success, from careful packing and hauling, to punctual delivery and efficient planning. There’s a lot of moving parts that go into long distance moving, and we’ll manage the process with care.
International Moving
Going REALLY long distance? An international move takes a lot of know-how, so you’ll need a team that’s familiar with all the ins and outs of international hauling. Fortunately, Pricing Van Lines knows how to deal with all the challenges that come with worldwide moving.
Customs? We’ll take care of it. Shipping containers? We can handle that, too. We’ll also be able to coordinate pickup and delivery in your new home country. And if you need some extra storage before you head out there? We’ll keep your stuff safe while you tie up those loose ends.
Storage Solutions
You’re ready to move, but do you have enough space at your new place for all your stuff? Downsizing to save money is one thing, but if you’ve got essentials you just can’t live without – and you don’t quite have the square footage for it – Pricing Van Lines can help.
Our secure storage options make moving easier than ever. Need some more time or space while you figure out the new floorplan? No problem. Choose from a variety of storage unit sizes, and book cheap storage in that doesn’t skimp on safety and security.
Packing and Unpacking Services
Packing is a pain. There’s all the sorting, organizing, and searching for the right boxes – and that’s before you even start wrapping and boxing. You’ve got two options: Toss everything in an old Amazon box with some loose socks and a prayer, or just let the pros handle your packing.
At Pricing Van Lines, we proudly offer full packing and unpacking services. Our movers will show up at your door with boxes, bubble wrap, furniture pads, and everything else they need to keep your items as safe and secure as possible.
Last Minute Moving
To us, everyone should be able to get out of town as fast as needed. That’s why our last minute movers show up on time, and can get you moved without missing a beat.
Last minute moving can be pricey. Since most moving companies need to carefully plan a route based on existing customers’ needs, they’ll usually charge a major premium if you need to get moved ASAP. Not us. We’ll load pack up your stuff, load it onto a truck, and get it to point B as quickly as possible.
Additional Services
Every move is unique. Rather than a one-size-fits-all moving plan, Pricing Van Lines lets you build a completely custom move. Get everything you need, and don’t get charged for all the stuff you don’t.
Disassembly and Reassembly
Our disassembly and reassembly teams know their way around furniture. They'll show up with all the right tools to take things apart, and put them back together again once they reach your destination. It makes loading and unloading a breeze, and since local moving is typically an hourly expense, this efficiency is priceless.
Specialty Item Moving
From art to antiques, Pricing Van Lines can get it delivered with care. And in some cases, we'll even send a team equipped with all the tools they'll need for hoisting and custom crating. It all depends on the move, and it's all part of delivering a custom moving experience.
Custom Crating
Some things aren’t conveniently box-shaped. And for some items, there’s no box on earth big (or sturdy enough) for the job. That’s why we offer custom crating. If it won’t fit in a box, we’ll build a box around it.

FAQ
How long does moving take?
A move can take anywhere from 1 to 21 days. It depends on how much stuff you’re hauling, and how far you’re going. If you want a rough estimate for a long distance move, take the total miles and divide it by 400. Drivers aren’t allowed to clock more than 400 miles of interstate travel per day, so this’ll give you a bare minimum.
Aside from labor laws, your move may take a little longer thanks to bundling. This is a common practice in the industry, and it involves loading multiple moves on the same truck to cut down on wasted space (and wasted fuel). It keeps costs down, but it may take a few extra days for dropoffs and deliveries on the way.
How much does it cost to move?
Moving costs between $600 and $9800, but we’ve seen some that were a little cheaper or more expensive. Like the duration of your move, your price depends on how much you’re taking, and how far you’re going. Local movers charge per hour, per mover (and it takes about 2 movers per bedroom). Long distance movers charge per mile, and per pound (although some use cubic feet).
When should I book my move?
We recommend booking your residential move 2 to 3 months in advance. While we do offer last-minute moving services, it’s always a good idea to give yourself as much wiggle room as possible. 2 months is like 8 weekends. When was the last time you had 8 weekends in a row without something coming up?
How can I save money on a residential move?
If you want to save money on your move, the best strategy is to downsize. Get rid of all of your old, unwanted, and unused belongings before you shop for quotes. Since more stuff means a higher price tag, reducing your load will really reduce your price. Aside from downsizing, we also recommend scheduling smart. Summer is always the busiest season for moving, which means increased demand and increased prices.
What is a moving shuttle?
Long distance movers typically use a big semi truck to transport your belongings. Unfortunately, these big rigs tend to take up a lot of room, so some cities don’t let them park in crowded areas. In these cases, your movers will have to park the main truck someplace on the edge of town, and use a smaller shuttle truck to transport everything to the semi.
